Like me, you may have spent years waiting for someone—your boss, your family, or your community—to give you the opportunity to lead. But eventually, I realized that the person who could put me in the game was me. I had to take action, communicate my value, and make myself seen and heard.
I also realized that my communication skills were holding me back. No matter how intelligent or capable you are, if your communication doesn't reflect your abilities, people may not recognize your potential. The good news is that effective communication is a skill you can develop.
For more than a decade, I have continuously worked to improve my leadership and communication skills, and I have begun to see the results I once hoped for. I believe you can do the same.
